This release introduces enhanced map data with even more detail at higher zoom levels and more coverage around the globe, a new premium Pathfinder map style optimized for off-road navigation, and various UI improvements including better trip pinning, refined styling for private roads and delete actions, and enhanced waypoint visibility.
Changes
- Improved minor road data
- The data now covers more zoom levels, and more areas around the globe.
- This data is still limited to Early Access only as it is still contains gaps in areas while I improve the extraction process.
- Brand new Pathfinder map style
- The exclusive new Pathfinder map style is now available for Plus and Premium Tier users.
- This style features a darkened background and muted fills to enhance visibility on roads and trails making this style optimized for true adventurers seeking more out of the way routes to take.
- Other map style improvements
- Improved private road styling to cover more use cases
- General Items
- You can now pin your Trip directly from the Trip editor menu
- When clicking on a Place in the Places Manager, the map will no longer fly to the Place you've clicked.
- Improved feedback when merging sections to provide more guidance around the process.
- The delete option in the Context Menu has been given a red color to draw attention to the action's outcome.
- The map will zoom in closer to the bounds of the Trip when it's being focused on.
- Note: Waypoints are considered a part of the Trip's bounds, so if you have any wayward waypoints it can appear to not zoom in as closely as you'd expect.
- Pinning the app to your device's home screen should now come with a better icon.
Fixes
- General Items
- Layering was fixed up to ensure waypoints, sections and track points have proper visibility
- Feature details will properly reflect waypoints for the Trip being edited
- Fixes were made to other styling inconsistencies
